This year Celerity as 1st Top Ten Doe for 2019 for milk. She was 6th for butterfat and 2nd for protein. She had a peak of 20 lbs per day, but of course dropped a bit for test day. She didn’t want to be too big a show off I suppose. I was very pleased with her production this year. Her daughter Belle freshened in June and has been milking exceptionally well for a yearling. She freshened in June and as of the end of September is still producing between 9 to 11 pounds per day. It will be exciting to see how she does as she matures and grows. I also have one of Celerity’s granddaughters out of Belle this year that has remained in our herd. Celerity has recently gone to Head Nubians, Jim and Jan Head, in Clovis, New Mexico. They also purchased one of her daughters and a granddaughter as well. They own Belle’s full brother Dancer as well.  I wish them the best of luck with this promising family and Nubians. Celerity’s daughter Belle achieved Elite status as a yearling and has also joined the Head Nubian herd.
