Honey miscarried her first kids due to toxins in wheat hay she over indulged in, so she did not kid until she was a 2 year old. She had twin bucklings and I am planning to breed her to our newest herd sire, Fruitful-Acres Lone Ranger, in hopes of getting a doeling from her. I am really excited about this young doe. She has an exceptional udder and is milking very well. She kidded in June this year and we had one of our hottest summers with triple digit temperatures most of the time. At 4 months fresh she is still milking 11 lbs a day. Her dam was on the Breed Leaders Top Ten list the last two years. I am looking forward to seeing what she will do in the future.

Honey went to a new home in Texas. She has been missed but left a beautiful daughter still at Ronco Farms.

Dolly in October 2019 as a dry yearling.

Dolly freshened in 2020 with a huge single buckling. She did very well but as the summer progressed she began to lose weight. In the fall she had problems breeding back and cycling frequently. Presently she is still milking once a day and we are working of getting her back in condition. She is a lovely doe and I am hoping for a doeling in the future.

She delivered triplet doelings that year, two of which I retained. Both of them spent their first lactation here and earned their milk stars as yearlings.IMG_0272[1]

Lacey’s sire was Hot Sugar Daddy who had the nicest Nubian head and beautiful long ears. She inherited those lovely long ears, slightly curled at the end, from him. In 2016 she was somehow injured leaving her with her shoulder blades pushed above her whithers. She didn’t seem to have pain and is able to get around with everyone else to graze. She still milks very well and produced triplet does that spring. Lacey had an udder that was soft as silk and milked out like a glove. One of her triplets went to the Nilsson’s in Texas and the other 2 will be  remained here for their first lactations. She truly was a sweetheart and I loved milking her. Because of her overeating episode she never really recovered and crossed the Rainbow Bridge leaving a hole in my little herd. She is greatly missed.

Celerity came to our herd in December 2016 and kidded January 6, 2017. She settled in here very well and has earned her milk star that year. She milked very strong after kidding in 2018 with quintuplets and finished in 1st place Top Ten. She has gone to Head Nubians with Jim and Jan Head in Clovis along with her daughter Ronco Farm Celerity Belle.

Belle as a yearling October 2019
Belle as a yearling October 2019

Belle freshened at 1 year 3 months with triplets sired by Nubilop-Acres Rock in Time, two doelings and a buckling. She has milked very well for a yearling, with everything she eats going to make milk. She was still milking about 9 to 10 lbs per day in her 4th month of lactation. Belle earned her milk star as a yearling and also was on the elite doe list. She is now in a dairy goat facility in the Philippines.
